Audio/Video

Audio/Video is the original Digital Dwellings trade. We install TVs and speakers, build media and theater rooms, and program universal remote controls. The days of simply connecting a DVD player to a TV are long gone though. Components have become more complex since everything now requires a network connection and some level of programming.

Distributed Audio/video

It's become more common place to put all the AV components out of sight in a cabinet or AV rack. Hide all the components in a centralized area and just have ceiling mounted speakers and wall mounted TV's around the house or business.  You can play music throughout the property and control the volume and music with your iOS or Android device.

Structured Wiring

To implement an Audio/Video or Automation system, a home or business needs to be wired properly.  This includes wiring for data, telephone, TV, wireless access points, cameras, touchscreens, door stations, etc.  This wiring needs to be designed and implemented accurately to guarantee proper system design.

Pre-Wire

Whether you're building a home or business from the ground up or doing a renovation, the best time to pull wires is when the walls are open.  This stage, known as the "Pre-Wire" stage is critical in ensuring that all the aspects of the system design can be implemented at the end of the project.  Not only that, it's much more cost effective to pre-wire then to try to retrofit wires because of all the additional inherent costs to repair, patch, and paint.

Automation

Automation has become mainstream in both the home and business.  By integrating different technologies together, automation makes systems practical and easy to use.

SmarT home

Automation allows your life to be simplified by integrating Audio/Video, Lighting, HVAC, Shades, Pool Control, Access Control, and other technologies together into a single interface.  These systems can be controlled from a remote control, touchscreen, or iOS and Android devices.

Networking

As more and more devices require a WiFi connection to operate, the network traffic and demand on routers increase.  This level of demand has increased greatly over the past few years as technologies advance with the importance of a solid and reliable network also increasing.

Commercial Grade Network

A robust and reliable network is now required for Audio/Video, automation, surveillance, and pleasant overall user experience not matter if it's in the home or business.  That's why we use commercial grade networking equipment.  This equipment usually consists of a standalone modem, wired router, gigabit network switches, a wireless controller, and several wireless access points (WAPs).

IP Cameras

IP cameras are no longer just for businesses.  They've become common place for the residential side also with peoples' needs to monitor both their homes and businesses.

Professional vs Ring Cameras

Professional cameras are the traditional dome and bullet cameras that you'll see wall or ceiling mounted.  These cameras are hardwired to a local NVR that records the content and allows for remote viewing.  Ring cameras are wireless, although they still require wiring for power, and do not record locally.  The Ring cameras allow remote viewing but require a paid subscription for cloud recording.
